DIMAPUR, AUG 21 (NPN): Okusa Toyota, Dimapur, marked a milestone in the Northeast automotive sector by handing over the region’s first delivery of the all-new Toyota Hilux on Friday.
The launch introduces Toyota’s latest generation lifestyle pickup, built on the company’s “Tough & Agile” design philosophy while retaining its core values of quality, reliability and durability.
The new Hilux features a redesigned exterior with a bold front grille bearing prominent TOYOTA lettering, LED headlamps, muscular body styling, new alloy wheels and a commanding rear profile, making it suitable for both urban driving and rugged off-road terrain.
Powering the pickup is Toyota’s 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 diesel engine, producing 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The 4×4 variants are equipped with high and low-range four-wheel drive, an electronic differential lock and downhill assist control to enhance off-road capability.
Inside, the Hilux offers a premium cabin with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota i-Connect, an eight-speaker audio system, smart entry, push-button start, wireless charging and multiple drive modes.
Safety features include seven SRS airbags, vehicle stability control, ABS with brake assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), parking sensors, ISOFIX child-seat anchors and other advanced driver safety technologies.
The all-new Hilux is available in three automatic variants—GX 4×2, GX 4×4 and VX 4×4—with prices starting from Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings opened on July 28, while customer deliveries began in the second week of August.
Okusa Toyota stated that the Hilux is designed not only as a pickup truck but as a lifestyle vehicle engineered for adventure, endurance and everyday versatility.
