Old Ministers Hill Council reminds residents

DIMAPUR

Old Ministers Hill Council (OMHC) has reminded residents under its jurisdiction to immediately remove pipes from drains and culverts and also to rectify leaking overhanging pipelines dripping onto colony roads.
A press release by the council stated that even after repeated notifications and press releases regarding removal of water pipes laid across drains and culverts within the colony roads, it stated that both government and private pipelines, including Alkathine pipes, obstructing free flow of rain water and drain water.
The council noted that this caused serious damage to colony roads, water stagnation along the roadside, landslides in several areas, and creating unhygienic environment.
The council thereby appealed to all resident for cooperation in immediately removing of such pipes from drains and culverts and also to rectify leaking overhanging pipelines dripping onto colony roads for public health and safety.
The council warned that non-compliance would compel the council to initiate necessary action.
