DRDA & NSRLM Mon block organized a “Buyers and Growers Mela” at KNSK office on November 13, which was inaugurated by KNSK Mon president, Lomei.
A press release from Mon block NSRLM, BMMU, BPM, S. Yatao Konyak stated that Wennyei Konyak, project director, DRDA Mon delivered a short speech on women empowerment. He also encouraged SHGs to grow organic products on a large scale. T. Manhom Konyak BDO Mon block also delivered a short speech on the growth of SHGs and VLOs in Mon from the initial stages to the present.
The program was chaired by Wakho, area coordinator, Mon block. Esther, president Block Level Federation, Mon block pronounced the invocation. S. Yatao welcomed all the VLOs and invitees and thanked them for their positive response. He also shared his gratitude with all stake holders, NGOs, MoRD, NSRLM, staff and individuals. Lomei, appreciated all the VLOs for choosing the right means of livelihood and she encouraged them to embark on new ventures, exposures and innovate with the same spirit, passion and firmness.
