Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowship (KBYF) celebrated its 25th anniversary under the theme “celebrating the legacy of faith” at Ministers’ Hill Baptist church Kohima, Saturday.
Speaking on the theme, NBCC general secretary Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho said “we” would be leaving behind a legacy for upcoming generations and lamented that today the Christians were backsliding morally which he said would leave a bad example.
He reminded the gathering that the way “we” live today and the testimony would have a significant impact for the future youth.
Rev. Dr. Zelhou also encouraged the youths not to be wavered from their faith and also challenged KBYF members to set right example to the youth for the generations to follow it.
NBCC youth secretary Vikuo Rhi said Kohima the capital of Christian state should be a role model for the whole of Nagaland in rural areas and also to the world.
He challenged the youth to rise up like in times of Nehemiah in the Bible and rebuild “our broken society”. He also encouraged the gathering to pass the faith legacy to the coming generations.
The service was led by Tia Toshi youth pastor KABA, Bible reading and prayer by Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao president KBPF, welcome note was delivered by Kethosezo Yongo president KBYF, brief history of KBYF was shared by Samuel Shohe former president KBYF, Sr. pastor MHBC Tepusaho Tase released the KBYF souvenir, special songs were presented by KBKK choir and KBYF team, and service concluded with benediction prayer by Rev. K. Losü Mao.
