
A one-day training-cum-orientation programme for District Task Force (DTF) on child labour was held on October 30, at DC conference hall, Dimapur.
During the meeting, the members have also decided to appoint a rescue team consisting of five members headed by SDO(C) Dimapur for implementation of the action plan.
Organized by the Department of Labour, the resource person project officer, Yanger Aier, spoke on the various protocols on prevention, rescue, repatriation and rehabilitation of trafficked and migrant child and adolescent labour.
Nodal director CHILDLINE, Subonenba Longkumer delivered power point presentation on the scenario of child protection issues in Nagaland with special reference to Dimapur and Kohima. He also presented case studies on child labour intervened by CHILDLINE.
The programme was chaired by DC Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome. He acknowledged the crucial role of the task force and urged the members to be pro active and contribute so that task force would effectively execute the responsibility.
