In a tragic incident one lady identified as Lemya (about 64 years) of Tamlu village died on the spot when the Sumo in which she was travelling met with an accident on Friday. Two passengers, one male and one female sustained injuries in the accident and were admitted at District Hospital Mon.
According to reports, the Sumo bearing–04 C 0204– carrying 5 passenger was on its way to Tizit Town (Namsa) when the accident occurred between Tuimei village and Zakho village junction, under Tizit Police Station. The driver of the ill fated sumo surrendered himself to the police.
