Diphupar police personnel have arrested one Medonizo Angami of Diphupar village on February 24 allegedly for attempting to murder his tenant who is an autorickshaw driver by profession.
A police report said Medonizo Angami was arrested following an FIR filed by the victim’s wife. As per the FIR, it said the accused went to the house of his tenant Sanjay on that fateful day and had meal together who later left the house. However after few minutes, Medonizo returned and began to beat Sanjay by pushing and kicking. The accused reportedly drew a sword and grievously injured both his legs. The victim was rescued with the intervention of his wife who later lodge FIR against Medonizo with the police.
After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and caught the accused and seized the sword used in the scene of crime. The victim was send to CISHR Hospital for medical treatment. The medical report revealed three multi cut injury 2 cm long 1 cm deep on both the thigh.
Case in this connection been registered with the Diphupar police station.
