
Kohima police has arrested one person namely Lhoulietuo Kire (50) for “robbery” and said police was on the lookout for another accused identified as Zelhoulie Kets (51).
In a press release, Kohima police PRO stated that on September 20 north police station received an information regarding “broad daylight robbery” at gun point by unknown masked miscreants from the vehicle of a doctor near SBI Main Branch. PRO said the accused persons robbed Rs. 5 lakh while the driver was inside the vehicle and the doctor was attending to his personal works in a nearby shop. Accordingly, PRO said officers of north police station swung into action and based on the evidence collected and arrested one of the accused persons on September 21 night and recovered Rs. 2.5 lakh. Police said the other accused was still absconding and that it has launched a manhunt to arrest the accused person. In this connection, PRO said a case has been registered at north police station for further investigation.
