One held with suspected heroin in Mon

A team led by UBSI Tohzom of Mon police station apprehended one Nokgu alias Anok (44) on June 5, on charges of possessing 58 packets of suspected heroin, (locally called sunflower).

According to the police PRO, the suspected heroin weighed around 750 grams (approx), which were packed in soap cases.

The accused person was apprehended while he was proceeding towards Mon on the Longwa-Mon road, PRO informed.

In this connection, a case was registered under Mon PS  C/No 0039/21 u/s 22(c) NDPS Act. Further investigation is in progress in connection with the case.
