One Zonal taxi travelling to Dimapur from Kohima met with an accident Wednesday late afternoon at Jotsoma by-pass where one passenger died on the spot and three persons including the driver sustained minor injury.
PRO Kohima informed Nagaland Post that the deceased was identified as Rama Kant Sharma, serving in Government High School Sendenyu under Tseminyu Sub division. The accident occurred near Hydro Jotsoma where the vehicle bearing registration number NLOIT 0689 (ECCO) plunged below the road about 20 feet from the highway. Police recovered the vehicle late in the evening and formalities for registration of case was under process.
