ONGC foundation hands CCE to state H&FW deptt.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Foundation officially handed over the donated cold chain equipments (CCE) to the Department of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW), Nagaland on March 4, 2021 at the principal director’s chamber. 

A press release by state IEC bureau stated that DGM Geology, Temjenyanger was deputed to oversee the equipments and hand over the ONGC stickers to be placed in each of the equipment. He also briefed the meeting on behalf of ONGC.

As per the instruction from the government of India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation was instructed to aid the medical department. The foundation then took the initiative to fund with medical equipments such as ice lined refrigerator (ILR) and cold chain.

Through the initiative of executive director-Basin manager, Assam and Assam Arakan Basin, Jorhat, Puneet Suri, cold chain equipments were installed in various cold chain points in the state. Members present in the meeting were DoHFW principal director, Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, state immunization officer (UIP), Dr Ritu Thurr, Deputy Director (UIP), Dr GR Rio, joint director DoHFW, Dr Kikameren Longkumer and state cold chain officer (UIP), Keneingulie Solo.
