Opium seized by narcotics cell, PHQ

In a major haul by the Narcotics Cell, PHQ, while  conducting  checking and frisking at Khuzama Check Point, approximately 8 (eight) kilos of opium were detected and seized on August, 2 from a passenger Bus (Regd, No. MN01-2173) bound for Guwahati. This was stated in a release by SP (Crime) PRO, Nagaland Police, M.Tungoe.
In this connection, initially one person by the name John Mech, who was the bus conductor, was taken into custody for interrogation, during which it was revealed that the consignment was to be delivered to one Krishna at Guwahati, who has also been arrested by the cell. The modus operandi was that the opium, which was seized, was part of the larger Avon Cosmetics Consignment.
In another major haul, the Narcotics Cell PHQ,  during regular checking and frisking at Khuzama Check point on 5th August, 2016 detected and seized 78,850 capsules of SP from the possession of  Kh. Rajul Shah and Md. Aslam Khan of Manipur, both of who were travelling from Guwahati to Imphal in a Bus. According to SP (Crime) PRO, Nagaland Police, M. Tungoe, a case has been registered for further investigation.
