Oral screen held at MOCK

Dental Unit from Naga Hospital Authority Kohima conducted the “Oral Cancer Screening” at Mount Olive College, Kohima (MOCK) on April 25.
Resource person of the programme, District Oral Health officer of National Oral Health Programme, Dr. I Simon Sumi highlighted on risk factors and prevention of oral cancer.
He also spoke on the importance of early detection and diagnosis of oral cancer which was the best preventive remedy. A total of 210 college students were screened and free Oral kits containing toothbrush, toothpaste and IEC materials were distributed. 27 students were given free consultation by Tobacco Cessation Centre staff.
