
NDPP has expressed grief over the demise of secretary NDPP 36 Satakha assembly constituency, Kahoshe who passed away on June 4 at Zunheboto.
In a condolence note, its president Chingwang Konyak said that his demise was a huge loss for the people of Satakha and NDPP in particular.
Further, the rank and file of NDPP conveyed condolences to the family and prayed that the Almighty would grant them comfort and strength.
The party also expressed grief over the demise of treasurer, NDPP 21 Tuli A/C, W. Koratemjen Imsong who passed away at Mokokchung on June 4.
While maintaining that his demise was a huge loss for the people of Tuli and NDPP in particular, the ranks and file of NDPP conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God would grant them strength and comfort.
Thenucho: Former speaker of Nagaland legislative assembly, Thenucho Tunyi has expressed grief over the demise of Tohevi Awomi.
In a condolence note, Thenucho described late Tohevi as a brave and decisive man with unwavering consistency in his dealings and whose positive outlook towards life was displayed in his vibrant personality.
Addressing Tohevi as a dear friend with whom he had an association for over three decades, Thenucho lamented that in his passing, “he had lost a dear friend and counselor”. He further conveyed his sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
NTUCT: Naga Tribal Union Chümoukedima Town (NTUCT) has expressed grief over the sudden demise of its former vice president Akum Imchen who passed away on June 2 at Faith Hospital Dimapur.
In a condolence note, its vice president Lhousito Khro and general secretary Longshi Kikon said that late Akum contributed immensely in the capacity of various posts and rank during his service in the police department.
“He was someone who worked selflessly for the welfare of the common people” and had “sincere concerns for the Naga society”, NTUCT said.
While maintaining that in his demise, they had lost a father figure and a God fearing man, NTUCT said that his good deeds had left a powerful legacy which would be cherished.
Further, the union conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty would grant them strength.
Ward-7 Union: The ward-7 union council Chumoukedima town while expressing grief over the demise of late Akum Imchen said that he was its first general secretary and was elected as the chairman till date.
In a condolence note through its general secretary, the council described him as someone who worked selflessly for the welfare of the common people.
Further, the council conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God would grant them comfort.
KSH: Kohima Sumi Hoho has expressed sadness over the demise of Hesheto Kappo who was serving as chairman of Sumi Community PWD/ Chandmari/Porterlane and an executive member of KSH.
It described late Hesheto as an inspiring leader and an active social worker who served the society and church in different capacities.
KSH conveyed heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.
NSCN (I-M): NSCN (I-M) has expressed grief over the demise of ‘lance corporal’ Isaac Saka from Yamolching village under Khurmi region, who enrolled in the Naga national service on January 26, 2016.
In a condolence note, NSCN (I-M) through its MIP said that Saka served the “Naga nation” with unwavering patriotism until his demise. It said that his name would be recorded in the pages of the Naga history for his selfless contributions to the “Naga national cause”.
MIP stated that the ‘adjutant general’, Naga Army bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of ‘corporal’ on June 5 in recognition of his service.
GPRN/NSCN: GPRN/NSCN has expressed sorrow over the demise of Khawoto P. Chishi, kilonser who passed away on June 5.
GPRN/NSCN through its MIP said that Khawoto was enrolled and joined the national service in 1990 and served the “nation” for the last 31 years with commitment and compassion in various capacities till his last.
It said that he was a humble man who reached out with encouragements and advices to his comrades and friends. GPRN/NSCN said that in his demise, the “Naga nation” had lost one of the most dedicated and promising patriots whose service and dedication would be cherished in the pages of Naga history.
FGN: Federal government of Nagaland has expressed grief over the demise of ‘col’ Puchong, who passed away on June 3.
FGN through its ministry of rali wali affairs/MIP said Puchong joined the “National service” on April 5, 1999. FGN said the group has lost one of the energetic and dedicated officers, adding that vacuum created by his demise would be hard to fill.
It said that his contribution towards the “Naga nation” would be recorded in the pages of Naga history.
