
Various organisations have condemned the murder of a 22 year old girl, Paugumcule of Punglwa Village on August 1, whose body was found in a jungle at Gaili village.
ZMO (N): Zeliangrong Mipui Organisation (N) has expressed shock on the unfortunate incident, where Paugumchule wife of Macigumsing of Punglwa village under Peren district, was found murder and her body recovered on August 2 in a jungle near Gaili village. In a condemnation note, ZMO (N) president, Apeuna Iheilung and general secretary Aluile Hegui stated that late Paugumchule went missing on August 1, suspected to be abducted and murdered. ZMO (N) regretted that such barbaric inhuman act still exist in the society which it said was intolerable. ZMO (N) appealed to the law enforcing agency to take the matter seriously to investigate at the earliest and award a befitting punishment to the culprit (S).
WSNV: Women Society Ngwalwa Village (WSNV) in a condemnation note by its chairman, Alui Iralu and secretary, Izaineule said that such inhuman act was totally intolerable and unacceptable in society. It urged the district administration and investigation agency thoroughly investigate and book the culprit at the earliest.
The union further expressed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for departed soul to rest in peace.
PVC: Punglwa Village Council (PVC) has expressed shock over the “brutal murder” of Paugumcule wife of Gumsibe of Punglwa village whose body was found in the jugles of Gaili village under Peren district. In a press release, PVC chairman Dingau has appealed to the concerned authority to book the culprit at the earliest.
PWS: Punglwa Women Society (PWS) has expressed shock and grief over the “gruesome and brutal murder” of Paugumcule. In a press release, PWS president Sinoile stated that the society while sharing their grief with the bereaved families and relatives, resolved full cooperation to the investigation team to unearth the reason behind the murder. It also demanded that the concerned authority to book the culprit (s) at the earliest.
