Various organisations have condemned August 21 incident wherein four unidentified miscreants barged into the residence of Kelei Zeliang, secretary to chief minister & RD, at Lerie Chazou Colony, Kohima and threatened the members present in the house with dire consequences.
PVC: Peren village Council has condemned the threat and stated that threatening of innocent and sincere officers deserve to be condemned by all and should be punished by the law enforcing agency.
ZMO: Zeliangrong Mipui Organisation (ZMO) Peren Nagaland has expressed shock and vehemently condemned the incident. ZMO regretted that such elements still prevail in “our society so called Christian state”. It also urged the law enforcing agency to take the matter seriously and apprehend the culprit and award a befitting judgement.
KIN: Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) has condemned that threat and stated that such action was an act of cowardice and highly unacceptable in society. It further appealed the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned and apprehend the culprits at the earliest so that such act of violence would not be repeated.
MYC & MVC: Mhainamtsi Youth Club (MNYC) and Mhainamtsi Village Council (MVC) have strongly condemned the threat and have called upon all the Nagas and right-minded citizen to come forward and condemned such act. It also urged the law enforcement agency to book the culprit at the earliest and award befitting punishment.
WDVDBA: Wokha District Village Developmemt Board Association (WDVDBA) has stated that such “barbaric inhuman and life threatening” act was unacceptable. It has appealed the law enforcing agency to investigate and give award befitting punishment to the miscreants.
VCUPD: Village Chairman Union Peren District (VCUPD) has reminded everyone that such act of sending miscreants to intimidate and threaten another person was alien to Naga culture and not tolerable at all. The union has appealed to the government to expedite the investigation and give befitting punishment to the culprit as per the law so that incident of such kinds would not re-occur again.
LDWS: Lamhai Dungki Women Society (LDWS) has stated that this kind of barbaric act has no place in the Naga society and no civilized society should tolerate such an act. LDWS has urged the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprit at the earliest so that this kind of incident does not occur again amongst Naga brothers.
