Organisations extend condolences

The NDPP has expressed shock over the demise vice president NDPP Noklak Region, K. Khumo who passed away Wednesday morning at his residence after a brief illness. 

In a condolence note, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak said that his demise had created a vacuum and was a huge loss for the NDPP party, the Naga society in general and people of Noklak in particular. 

Further, the rank and file of NDPP conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the family members and prayed that the Almighty would give them strength at this hour of grief. 

NDPP Noklak region: NDPP Noklak region while expressing grief over the demise of K Khumo described him as a man of word who led his people through deeds.

In a condolence note, its president P Peem Shiu and general secretary T Tangsoi said that in his demise, they had lost a truthful and efficient leader and the coid created by his demise would be difficult to fill in.

Further, the NDPP Noklak region conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and loced ones. 

YUD: Yimchungrü Union Dimapur (YUD) expressed grief over the demise of GB of Old Showuba village, H. Rejiang, who passed away on Tuesday at Referral Hospital Dimapur.

In a condolence note through its media cell, YUD described late Rejiang as a man of integrity, a prominent leader of its community who served the people throughout his life in different NGOs/organisations in various capacities.

It said that he was serving as GB of Showuba village, vice president of Yimchungrü GB’s Federation and president, Western Yimchungrü GB’s Federation till his last breath.

“In his demise, the Western Yimchungrü in particular and Yimchungrü as a whole had lost a true leader and the vacuum created by his demise will be difficult to fill”, YUD said.

Further, the union conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members.

YTC: Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) has mourned the demise of its sub-treasurer, H. Rejiang.

In a condolence note, YTC through its secretary Solumba Yimchunger said that late H. Rejiang served YTC with dedication and was known for his dignity, charismatic leadership and patriotism. The council said that he was one of the pillars of Yimchunger tribe in western Yimchunger area who had contributed and served the society in different capacities. 

While maintaining that in his demise, the Yimchunger had lost “a great leader”, YTC prayed that God would grant solace to the bereaved family members.

NGBF: The Nagaland Goan Bura Federation (NGBF) has expressed grief over the sudden demise of Rejiang.

In a condolence note, NGBF media secretary Akhu Naga said that late Richang was actively involved with the federation’s officials in whatever capacity assigned to him.

NGBF said that in his demise, it had lost a dedicated leader and conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members.

GPRN/NSCN: GPRN/NSCN has expressed grief over the untimely demise of leacy Somiron Mech who passed away on June 1. 

In a condolence note through its MIP, GPRN/NSCN said that late Somiron Mech joined the Naga national service in 2011 and last served as a capable care-taker of Kachari affairs, GPRN/NSCN.

“He was a man fully dedicated and committed towards building better relationship and cohesiveness amongst the various communities”, it stated.

It also said that his contributions and service in various capacities towards the “Naga nation” would be cherished and recorded in the pages of the Naga history. 

Further, GPRN/NSCN conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty would grant them solace and comfort at this time of grief.
