Various organizations have condemned the brutal murder of late Kevi Zakiesato on December 18, who was a prominent citizen of Dimapur.
APO: Angami Public Organisation (APO) has in the strongest term condemned the “outrageous and barbaric” murder of late Kevi Zakiesato by unknown criminals.
APO stated that, “no amount of words could express our pain and anguish over this dastardly act” and “we share our sincere condolences to and stand in solidarity with Kevi Zakiesato family today.” APO also urged the Nagaland government to urgently investigate this case and bring the perpetrators to justice and to activate all its assets to immediately identify, arrest and book the criminals. It also prayed that God grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
TPO: Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) in a condemnation note expressed in highest term that brutality of the act could only be the handiwork of the “devil-possessed” persons devoid of any humane feelings and conscience.
TPO described late Kevi Zakiesatuo as a benevolent and generous person known for his philanthropic deeds towards the society, for which, it baffles TPO no end as to who would kill him with such savagery.
TPO appealed to the state government and its law enforcing agencies to leave no stone unturned to identify the murderers and give the highest degree of punishment as per the law of the land.
TPO expressed deepest sorrow and condolences to the bereaved family members and dear ones and pray that God Almighty grant strength to mitigate the insurmountable pain and loss.
WAYO: Western Angami Youth Organisation (WAYO) has vehemently condemned the heinous crime and demanded that the perpetrator(s) be caught at the earliest and punished befittingly. WAYO also conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray that the Almighty God give them strength to bear the loss of a noble soul who has been dearest to all.
BJP Nagaland: BJP Nagaland condemned such barbaric act meted upon a respectable leader. It stated that such inhuman act should be stopped henceforth and all right thinking people should assist the police in their investigation for justice.
BJP Nagaland also conveyed earnest prayer that the departed may find eternal peace in Christ and the family members be comforted with God’s grace and peace.
CSU: Chakhroma Students’ Union (CSU) has condemned in strongest terms the ghastly and abominable act of murder perpetrated on its tall and prominent leader Kevi Zakiesato. CSU has appealed the concerned authorities to immediately bring the culprits to justice at the earliest. The union also expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
NPC Kohima: Nagaland Peace Centre (NPC) Kohima has condemned the monstrous act, whereby the perpetrators deserves befitting punishment in accordance with the law of the land and which would serve as a deterrent to incidents of such nature.
Chairman of NPC, N. Theyo stated that he knew late Kevi personally since they had worked together in a political party in different capacity and that he was a dedicated and committed person. NPC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and pray to Almighty God to let the departed soul rest in peace.
PHDD: Pochury Hoho Dimapur District (PHDD) in a condemnation note stated that there was no place in society for such a ghastly act.
PHDD strongly condemned killing of late Kevi Zakiesato and requested all the responsible citizens to help/support the law enforcing agency to bring the murderer(s) to book and punish befittingly. While condemning, PHDD also extended deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and pray that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
