Western Thipuzumi Welfare Union and Western Thüvopisümi Welfare Union has expressed deep shock and condemned the brutal murder of a 45-year-old woman. In a statement, WTWU president and secretary said that Rüchüvolü, a mother of four children, was allegedly killed by her own husband Sepratso Venyo, son of Bingoyi Venyo of Thevopisu village, on May 31.
The union said the incident had left it deeply hurt and appalled, adding that the heart-wrenchingly barbaric and inhuman act had shaken it to the core, leaving it in a profound state of shock.
According to WTWU, the sheer brutality of the incident was a grim reminder of the evil that still lurked in the society, casting a shadow of fear and uncertainty over the collective well-being. The union said the heinous act of “fatal domestic violence” raised grave concerns about the safety and well-being of individuals in the community, adding it was a chilling reminder of the urgent need to address issues of domestic violence and ensure that such tragic occurrences were prevented at all costs. Western Thipuzumi Welfare Union stressed that the situation demanded immediate attention and action from law enforcing authorities to ensure justice was served, and that measures were taken to protect vulnerable members of the society from such monstrous atrocities in the future.
WTWU urged law enforcing agencies to conduct thorough investigation into the matter and leave no stone unturned to punish the culprit as per the law and deliver justice at the earliest.
The union conveyed heartfelt condolences to children and family members of the victim and prayed that Almighty God grant them strength and solace to recover from the shocking crime, and for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
Thüvopisümi union: Western Thüvopisümi Welfare Union (WTWU) said it was appalled to hear the “depraved action of Sepratso Venyo S/o Bingoyi Venyo a citizen of Thüvopisümi, for allegedly murdering his own wife Mrs. Rüchüvolü in cold blood on the intervening night May 31 and June 1.
WTWU chairman Vengozo Dozo said that the union vehemently condemned the heartless and heinous crime committed by Sepratso, adding that it was intolerable and no amount of leniency should be shown to the ruthless killer.
The union fervently appealed to the law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the crime and immediately booked the culprit under appropriate section of law and give exemplary punishment of the highest order.
Further, the union conveyed its deepest sympathy and condolence to the bereaved members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
