GSUD and MASU have come out in condemnation the alleged rape of a 12 year old in Mon district.
GSUD: Gorkha Students Union Dimapur (GSUD) has firmly condemned the recent incident where one Rahul Sen, allegedly raped a 12 year old Konyak Naga student from Mon district of Nagaland.
GSUD president, Sunil Limbu offered the union’s unconditional support to Yuching Students Union (YSU), Mon, Nagaland. The Gorkha Students Union Dimapur also appealed to the law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned until the culprit was awarded the highest degree punishment.
MASU: Mon Area Students’ Union (MASU) has vehemently condemned the alleged rape of a minor girl “several times on several occasions” by one Rahul Sen, S/o Subrata Sen of Namrup Bengal Gaon of Dibrugar, Assam. MASU president, T. Phongwang and general secretary, M. Shakwang, through a condemnation note appealed to the law enforcing agencies to award befitting punishment as per law to avert reoccurrence of such acts.
The union also appealed to all citizens to refrain from violence and “observe the steps taken by the administration.”
1 dead in road mishap

WOKHA, May 31 (NPN): A pickup truck carrying around 10 passengers went down the side of a road between Sanis and Doyang killing one female on the spot and severely injuring five on Thursday afternoon.
According to sources, the vehicle was reportedly ferrying angawadi workers, who had gone for training. The injured were rushed to Sanis for medical aid.
