Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has condemned the assault of Renathung Ezung, general secretary of the Lotha Hoho Dimapur on the 8 August by some miscreants.
CNTC president, Hokiye Yeputhomi and general secretary Imtinochet Kubzar in a condemnation note stated that it was a matter of deep concern that such unlawful acts by anti-social elements were becoming frequent occurrence in “our” society which needs to be checked by all right thinking citizens. It urged the authorities to book those culprits at the earliest and punish them according to the law of the land.
KEU: Kohima Elumyo Union (KEU) in a condemnation note, by chairman Albert Yanthan has called upon all the right thinking citizens to condemn such inhuman act and also appealed to the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprit at the earliest and punish them as per the law.
ETSU: Emlo-To Students’ Union (ETSU) has condemned the diabolical treatment meted out to the president of Atoizu Range Students Union, Shunato Chophy by the Assam rifles.
The union in a condemnation note by president Vikato I. Chishi has questioned the intention of the AR on why a peace loving student leader’s house was raided and ransacked in the wee hour without any iota of authenticated evidence.
It also conveyed that, such an unpopular traumatic treatment meted to the leader & his families was unbecoming and should not be repeated in the future.
ENWO: Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation (ENWO) strongly condemns the rape of a minor girl by one Meyikumzuk, 20 years old at Officer’s Hill, Kohima, on August 11.
ENWO in a condemnation note expressed its outrage at the abhorrent act committed against the young girl and urges upon the law enforcing agencies to take stringent action against the perpetrator as per the law and should not be granted bail at any cost but should be given a befitting punishment. It also extended support to representation served to the principal district and sessions judge by its federating unit, khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam (KMH), Kohima.
MHN: Mao Hoho Nagaland (MHN) while wishing the innocent victims speedy recovery has vehemently condemned the barbaric assault against P. F. Abraham and his wife D. Komuhra by miscreants on August 3 near Pimla village, Dimapur.
The Hoho MHN president has appealed to all right thinking citizens to condemn such barbaric and cowardly act in “our” civilized society. The Hoho further urged the concerned village council/authority to seriously look into the issue and take necessary action to prevent such shameful acts in the future.
LCMUD: Lotha Colony Mothers’ Union Dimapur (LCMU) Dimapur has condemned the physical assault acted on Lotha Colony Council, chairman and Lotha Hoho Dimapur, general secretary Renathung Ezung.
In a press release, LCMU general secretary Apei Odyou hoped that Dimapur district administration would nab the culprits and award befitting punishment as per appealed made by NGOs and citizens.
DDLGBU: Dimapur District Lotha GBs Union (DDLGBU) has condemned the inhuman act assaulted on Lotha Hoho Dimapur (LHD) general secretary Renathung Ezung. In a condemnation note, DDLGBU general secretary, Kenneth Tsopoe termed the incident as “cowardly act”. Union further urged upon the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprit and award befitting punishment as per law of the law so that such act should not be repeated in the days to come.
