The Zeliang People Organisation, Dimapur (ZPOD), in a press release by its press secretary, Paukizonne Meriam stated that it extends its support to the Public Action Committee (PAC), Naga Council in regard to its upcoming public rally against multiple taxation, lease syndicate system and illegal collections by different organizations.
The rally is to be held on October 31 at Khermahal Junction from 10 am to 12 pm. The release further requested Zeliang denizens of Dimapur to attend the proposed rally in their traditional attire.
South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has also requested positive participation of all its federating tribe units living in Dimapur — Aimol, Anal, Kom, Kairem,Koireng, Chiru, Chothe, Lamkang, Liangmei, Maring, Monsang, Moyon, Mao, Maram, Maring, Poumai, Rongmei, Tangkhul, Thangal, Tarao, Zemei, Kuki, in maximum numbers in respective traditional attire. SNUNs president Joe Ngamkhuchung, in a press release, has asked all to reach the venue at 9:30 am.
