Organizations welcome Cab decision on dist creation

Several organizations have welcomed the recent Cabinet decision to create three new districts—Tseminyu, Nuiland and Chümoukedima.

WSH: Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the chief minister Neiphiu Rio, for recognizing and fulfilling the most cherished dream of the citizens of Niuland by upgrading Niuland Sub-division to a full-fledged district.

WSH president Shikaho Zhimomi and general secretary Kisheto Chishi said the hoho had for long been concerned and vocal about the need for the upgradation of Niuland sub-division since the strategic location of Niuland, as border area, has all the potential to destabilize and compromise the security of not just Niuland citizens but also the State.

By upgrading Niuland as a district, WSH said Rio has addressed the most pressing concern of the hoho.

Further, WSH also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to PHE minister Jacob Zhimomi for his untiring effort to fulfill the aspirations of Niuland citizens and succeeding in having Niuland recognized as the 14th district of Nagaland.

WSH said that the able leadership of Jacob Zhimomi has been recognized by the chief minister and therefore Niuland today was the recipient of the best Christmas gift ever.

This, WSH said will go down in history as the most historic red-letter day for the citizens of Niuland to be gratefully cherished and remembered for generations to come.

Ex-MLAs: Former minister Nillo Rengma and ex-NLA dy. speaker Er. Levi Rengma have expressed gratitude to chief minister Neiphiu Rio and his cabinet colleagues for the creation of Tseminyu district.

They also expressed gratitude to all the 60 MLAs and the various Naga CSOs for their unflinching support to the Rengma people. They said that Rio took a conscious decision for the welfare of the Rengma people, for which history will remember his deeds.

With Tseminyu district centrally located, they said it will benefit all Nagas and can also become the epicenter of Naga unity.

The duo also expressed deepest appreciation to advisor and MLA, R. Khing and the Rengma organisations– Rengma Hoho, Rengma Mothers’ Association, Rengma SeloZi, Rengma Students’ Union and Council of Rengma Baptist Churches.

CCCPO: Chümoukedima Circle Chakhroma Public Organisation (CCCPO) conveyed its sincere appreciation to the state government for declaring Chümoukedima as the 15th district of the State.

CCCPO president Neikhriehu Kensa and secretary Khriebuli Peseyie said it spoke volumes about the concern and care the present dispensation has for the people who go through horrendous experiences of traffic problems just to visit the district headquarters for urgent works.

CCCPO said that the sagacity of the government of the day was most admirable considering that Chümoukedima district have vast swathes of open spaces yet to be developed.

With the active participation and cooperation of all stake holders, CCCPO said the district can become a role model for others to emulate if and when futuristic and visionary habitations can come up in a planned manner.

It said that the organisation would look forward to work closely together with all communities in the district so as to make it a place where peace, goodwill and harmony prevails amongst the different communities for all times to come.

CCCPO assured the government its unstinted support in all endeavours in order to make the lives of all denizens easier and more comfortable.
