Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has condemned the brutal assault and attempt on life of 2nd OC (UBSI) Jalukie Police Station, Neize-U Yhome, by some local youth under the influence of alcohol on February 22 at the Highway of New Jalukie.
In a condemnation message, TSUD president Kedinlung Newmai stated that OC Neize-Yhome was hit at the back of his head from behind by one of the culprits. It expressed sadness to know of some youth who are still ignorant about the Naga society when all the civil organizations, NGOs, and district administration are trying to create the peaceful environment.
TSUD further appealed the concerned authority and local authority of the area to investigate the matter deeply to book all the culprits and award befitting punishment.
In a separate statement, New Jalukie Village Council (NJVC) has condemned the brutal act of some unscrupulous youth wherein Neize-u Yhome, was brutally assaulted at New Jalukie.
The village council chairman Khiulinbo has endorsed the authority to take its own course of action as per the law and give befitting punishment so as to discourage such incident in the future. He also warned the youth that such uncivilized act which tarnishes the good image of the village would never be tolerated within the village. The council has wished early recovery of the sincere officer.
Meanwhile, 11 Northern Angami-II AC MLA Neiphrezo Keditsu has also condemned the brutal attacked on the life of Neizeu Yhome on February 22 at New Jalukie.
The MLA has urged the Superintendent of Police, Peren, and the concerned authorities under State Home Minister, Y Patton, to take stern and appropriate action against the perpetrators and safeguard the honest and dedicated law enforcing agencies and police personnel at the earliest.
Naga Boys Club (NBC): Kohima has condemned the assault and the attempt on life of Neizeu Yhome by the local youth of Jalukie on February 22. In a statement, NBC president and chief coach Roko Angami Naga stated that Neizeu was a dedicated and obedient football player of the club before he joined the Nagaland Police.
NBC: has condemned the incident and appealed to the higher authority and the district administration to take appropriate action without further delay. NBC also prayed to almighty God for a speedy recovery of Yhome.
