Dimapur district citizens forum (DDCF) has strongly condemned the IED blast at Eros Lane and Blue Hill lane junction in Dimapur on January 5.
In a press release, DDCF president Joseph Lemtur urged the police and the administration to “be more vigilant” so no outsiders could dare to disturb the peaceful life of the citizens of Dimapur. Forum also requested the Dimapur police to investigate the matter at the earliest from the person arrested and bring all the perpetrators to book in order that citizens of Dimapur could live with peace of mind and no persons or organization could commit such crime in the future.
TSUD: Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has also “strongly condemned” the recent accidental IED blast by one Longjam Ojit Meitei near Blue Hill station Eros Lane January 5. In a press release, TSUD president Kedinlung Newmai and general secretary Azo Wetsah appealed to the law enforcing agency to take “necessary action immediately” and apprehend the others involved at the earliest. Pointing out that such incident not only created fear psychosis among the public but also posed a bigger threat to “our” society, the union requested the responsible authorities to “leave no stone unturned” to reveal those involved in the “act of terrorism”.
Further, TSUD has sent a message to those persons involved in “such incidents” to “stop killing innocent people and stop disturbing our peaceful environment”. It appealed to all the citizens of Dimapur to come forward and fight against anti-social activity.
