Orgns condemn Hotel Vivor incident

Taking serious note on the shots fired at Hotel Vivor, Kohima on August 21 night by some anti-social elements, the youth organisations of Botsa, Tuophephezou and Tuophema villages have warned the perpetrators not to underestimate the patience of the three youth organisations held in check solely for the interest of peaceful co-existence.
Botsa Youth Organisation, Tuophephezou Youth Organisation and Tuophema Youth Organisation in a joint condemnation note by presidents Kevikhrielie Rio, Letuo-u Sanchu and Neitho-o Kense respectively, stated that the organisations were highly exasperated and outraged at the dastardly act of cowardice.   The release stated that a bunch of self–centred misguided thugs, committing such heinous and dastardly act on a highly respected citizen, Neiphiu Rio was totally unacceptable and intolerable.  It stated that based “on sequence of simultaneous unfortunate incidents being unfolded in the aftermath of the political dispute and imbroglio, the  shooting  incident  at Hotel Vivor  appear  to be a consequence of the  recent political fallout”.
It stated that the current dispute and impasse be resolved by parties concerned, through appropriate authority and within the confines and realms of such competent authority.  The organisations impressed upon the perpetrators and masterminds behind the heinous and dastardly acts to eschew the path of violence and personalisation. It has also extended gratitude to the AYO for the prompt, unbiased and outright condemnation of the “act of cowardice and hooliganism by goons”, while also extending its unstinted support and co-operation to AYO in its quest for peace and welfare of society.
