Orgns condemn killing of Abonmai

Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) and Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) have condemned the killing of Athuan Abonmai, advisor to Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) and former president of Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) on September 22.

TPO: Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) while condemning the “brutal” murder of Athaun Abonmai stated that it was appalled at the “inhumane manner he was killed without any compunction by the assassins.”

In a condemnation note, TPO president Timikha Koza and general secretary Vipopal Kintso urged the responsible authorities and law enforcing agencies to effectively identify the killers and penalise them as per the law of the land.

Meanwhile, TPO has conveyed condolences to the family of late Athaun Abonmai 

NSF: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) said it was disturbed at the “subsequent abduction and gruesome killing” of Athaun Abonmai.

In a condemnation note, NSF president Kegwayhun Tep said that while the entire region was collectively striving towards lasting peace and stability, “such inhumane and diabolical act negates the very aspiration of the general populace”.

NSF appealed for peace and unity in all the Naga inhabited areas and stated that people must respect each other’s history and basic human rights, differences and value the common interests to establish a secure future where the entire region will thrive together in harmony.

NSF extended sympathy to the bereaved family members of late Athaun Abonmai.
