Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur has informed that the ministry of women and child development has initiated a programme “adopt a home” whereby the corporate sector, business houses and individuals have been invited to support the children staying in the children homes run by the state government/UTs and their NGOs partners under the juvenile justice (care and protection of children) act.
The DC said the corporate sector or individual will receive periodical report on the utilization of their assistance, get an opportunity to visit the home, interact and mentor the children, impart knowledge on their enterprise and identity interested and suitable children for placement in their enterprise etc.
Furthermore, DC has informed that they will receive a recognition certificate for their contribution to the children home from the ministry.
