Orgs condemn Dec 28 blast

Various organisations have vehemently condemned the December 28 blast that occurred near New Dhansiri Bridge, Dimapur, in which two individuals were injured and at least four vehicles were damaged.
DDCF: In a press release, Dimapur District Citizens Forum (DDCF) president Joseph Lemtur appealed to all the citizens of Dimapur to maintain peace and calm specially during this festive season. He said such incident bring a bad name to the city and also created a fear psychosis in the minds of the citizens.
DDCF also urged the law enforcing agencies to ensure that the perpetrators be arrested at the earliest and punish them as per the law. Meanwhile, DDCF prayed Almighty God for the speedy recovery of the two injured — Among Konyak and Ringhar Girisa.
NGTC: In a press release, Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) president Biplab K. Sangma said that such “dastardly acts” perpetrated on innocent public by “anti-social elements” needed to be condemned by all right thinking citizens and organisations. NGTC added that such acts revealed the cowardice of the perpetrators who had no value for human lives.
Further, the council urged the authorities including the police department to bring the perpetrators to book at the earliest so such inhuman incidents did not take place in the future.
KUN: Karbi Union Nagaland (KUN) president Willaim Terang, condemned the blast and termed it as irresponsible and cowardice act.
Extending its sympathy and prayers to the two injured, KUN appealed to the state government to investigate and take appropriate action against the culprit(s). The union also extended support to the law enforcement in their effort to prevent further “terror activities” against civilians.
KUC: Konyak Union Chumukedima (KUC) also expressed “profound distress” over the incident and asserted that such kind of inhuman acts should be condemned by all citizens.
In a press release, KUC president, N Tingyuh and general secretary, N. Hongpe, stated that the incident disrupted the peaceful atmosphere of the society during the festive season.
