Orgs condemn rape of minor girl

Kitsubozou Panchayat and the Kitsubozou Youth Society has vehemently condemned the heinous rape of a 13 year old girl by her step grandfather Khüchopra Veswü, son of late Veposwhü Veswü of Rüzazhomi village at Kitsubozou colony, Kohima. 
A condemnation note by Kitsubozou Panchayat chairman, Mezhüvilie  Bio and Kitsubozou Youth Society president, Khoto Tetseo stated that the perpetrator had been repeatedly raping her for over a year which was unbecoming of a human being and was able to impose his devilish will on the victim by threatening her with gun and that of her family if she disclosed to anyone by telling her that she would be picked up by his friends and taken to their camp and killed. 
It stated that Khüchopra Veswü is a member of NSCN-IM and has threatened the victim’s family to take his revenge when he came out of prison. The victim, a student of class 7 is seven months pregnant by her perpetrator. The Kitsubozou Panchayat and the Kitsubozou Youth Society has appealed the law enforcement agency not to grant bail to Khuchopra Veswü but to treat and award the severest punishment. It further requested to every right thinking citizens to condemn Khuchopra Veswü of his heinous crime against women and show solidarity to the victim.
KNSK condemns: Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), apex konyak mothers association has strongly condemned the inhuman and barbaric act of one Alemchiba of Khensa village of Mokokchung district, for raping a 12 year old minor girl on June 4 and 8.  
In a press release issued by KNSK president, Lomei and joint secretary Angip stated, the accused being an elderly person was supposed to and expected to treat such minor like a grand-daughter. 
Terming the incident as barbaric KNSK stated that such evil minded person should have no place in the society, 
The union also urged the concerned authority to award befitting punishment as per the law of the land and deliver justice to the victim and her family. 
Meanwhile, KNSK while expressing gratitude towards the Watsü Mungdang and Ao Senden also sought cooperation of the two apex body in delivering justice to the victim. 
Union further appealed all individuals and organizations against pleading to bail the accused as it may affect the age old relationship between the Aos and Konyaks.
