The orientation and sashing ceremony of Miss Wokha 2025 was held on October 1, at Zumba Fitness Centre, Wokha, under the aegis of the Lotha Eloe Hoho (LEH). The event officially introduced 12 contestants shortlisted from over 20 aspirants, setting the stage for the upcoming grand finale.
Speaking at the occasion, LEH President Thungbeni Ngullie emphasized the importance of discipline, self-reflection, and responsibility, urging the contestants to use the platform not only to showcase their talents but also to uplift society and represent the Lotha community with pride.
Event Director Thungbeni Kikon noted that the pageant, returning after seven years, comes with renewed purpose. She praised the high standard of participants this year and encouraged them to embrace their identity, carry themselves with responsibility, and become role models of character, compassion, and faith.
Lirhonthung E. Kithan, President of the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU), called on the contestants to walk with confidence and purpose, noting that their journey could extend beyond the district. Meanwhile, Thungchobeni Humtsoe, Assistant Women Leader of Wokha Town Baptist Church, shared spiritual reflections and extended blessings for their journey.
The Miss Wokha 2025 pageant continues to stand as a platform for empowerment, cultural pride, and spiritual growth, with the contestants preparing to represent the Lotha community with dignity and grace.
