A one-day orientation programme on the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 was held on June 6 at Nuiland town council hall, under the initiative of the state level nodal agency and municipal affairs department.
The programme aimed to sensitise and build the capacity of key stakeholders—including officials from the Urban Local Body (ULB), community representatives, and implementing partners—on various components of PMAY (Urban), especially on Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban 2.0 which has being implemented in the State
Altogether, 40 participants attended the programme. Detailed presentations and interactive sessions about the scheme such as beneficiary selection, fund flow mechanism, geotagging of houses, monitoring protocols, and the roles and responsibilities of ULBs and other stakeholders were presented by resource persons from the PMAY urban, state level technical cell.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by additional deputy commissioner and executive officer, Nuiland Town Council, S Athsangla, while state nodal officer and deputy director, municipal affairs, Kevilenuo Solo, presented a brief introduction on PMAY Urban 2.0.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment by the ULB and to accelerate implementation and ensure transparency and accountability in the delivery of housing benefits to eligible urban households.
