A one-day outreach seminar on Income Tax-tax deduction at source (IT-TDS) was organized by Nagaland Health Protection Society in collaboration with Commissionerate of Income Tax NER, Guwahati on January 10 at Townhall, Niathu Resort, Chumoukedima. The seminar was organised for all empanelled private hospitals under AB PM-JAY CMHIS in the State.
Commissioner and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, V Kezo graced the seminar as special guest.
The IT team was led by Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), NER, Guwahati, C Deepak Singh, with Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Range-TDS, Shillong, Rintei Renthlei and Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Range-TDS, circle Guwahati, Mani Sankar Bardoloi as resource persons.
The seminar covered various pertinent topics on Tax Compliances for various stakeholders in implementation of the PM-JAY CMHIS Scheme, eligibility and Procedures for exemption under the Income Tax Act for Scheduled Tribes and process for filing IT returns and refunds thereof if any.
