Over 800 teenagers get Covid vaccine in Nagaland

Altogether 832 teenagers in the State have been inoculated against Covid-19 in the 15-18 age-group category till Wednesday. 

According to data provided by the Health & Family Welfare department, as on January 5, 707 were administered the first dose of Covaxin in Dimapur district, while 125 received their first dose in Kohima so far after the vaccination drive for the 15-18 age group was launched on January 3 in the State.

Meanwhile, as per the data, altogether 13,39,570 doses of both Covidshield and Sputnik V vaccines have been administered in Nagaland.

While 7,57,319 first dose and 5,75,880 second dose of Covidshield have been administered; 3,470 individuals received their first dose and 2,901 their second dose of Sputnik V across the State. 

Further, 16,005 healthcare workers received their first dose of Covidshield and 13,543 their second dose, even as 60,985 frontline workers were given the first dose and 48,627 the second dose. No healthcare worker or frontline worker has been administered Sputnik V. 

On the other hand, 4,66,816 individuals received the first dose and 3,34,994 the second dose of Covidshield in the 18-44 years category, while 2,717 got the first dose of Sputnik V and 2,201 the second dose. In the 45 years and above category, 2,13,513 received the first dose and 1,78,716 received the second dose of Covidshield, while 753 were given the first dose of Sputnik V and 700 the second dose.
