Pahalgam attack: Cong holds candlelight marches across Nagaland

The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) and its units across the state organised candlelight marches on April 25, at 6 p.m. to express solidarity with the bereaved families of the Pahalgam, Kashmir terrorist attack victims.


According to NPCC communications department, the main event in Kohima was led by the NPCC, with participation from various District Congress Committees (DCCs), frontal organisations, cells, departments, and other branches of the party including Dimapur, Kiphire, Mon, Zunheboto, Peren, Phek, Wokha, Longleng, Mokokchung, and Tuensang districts.


Participants lit candles and observed a moment of silence to honour the innocent victims and to express their support for the grieving families. A large number of party workers, leaders, well-wishers, and members of the public joined the march.


NPCC said the candlelight march also served as a strong condemnation of the “dastardly act of cowardice and violence perpetrated by the terrorists.
