Health & Family Welfare minister P Paiwang Konyak Thursday inspected the ongoing construction of the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at Phriebagie Kohima.
Following the inspection, the minister, while reminding that the admission would commence soon, cautioned the technical team and the contractors that the commencement of the State’s dream college should not be hindered because of a few contractors who did not complete the projects on time.
Asserting that ample time had been given to the contractors to complete the infrastructure and also claiming that there was no delay in releasing funds, he said there should be no excuses for delay in the commencement of the college.
Paiwang, who also held a meeting with NIMSR staff post inspection, gave a patient hearing to the grievances shared by officials and assured the government’s full support towards ensuring full functioning of the college on time.
