Pakistan: 15-Year-Old Hindu Girl Abducted in Sindh, Rights Group Warns of Rising Minority Violence

The Voice of Pakistan Minority (VOPM) reported the abduction of Miran Meghwar, 15, from her home in Mirpurkhas, Sindh, allegedly by Tariq Kauri and Allah Dino Kauri. Despite a police case being registered, her whereabouts remain unknown.

The Meghwar family has appealed for urgent action, with community members rallying in support and demanding justice. VOPM highlighted similar unresolved cases affecting Hindu communities such as Meghwar, Bhil, and Kolhi, noting a pattern of abductions, forced marriages, and conversions.

Human rights groups, including the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), have long warned of rising incidents targeting minority girls. VOPM stated that Miran’s disappearance underscores ongoing vulnerability and delays in justice for Pakistan’s minorities.
