Parul University launches ‘Lakshya 2047’ skills centre

DIMAPUR: Parul University has launched “Lakshya 2047”, a centre focused on future technologies and skill development in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The centre was inaugurated by Jitendra Singh in association with Ethnotech Academy and National Skill Development Corporation.
Lakshya 2047 features advanced labs in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, automation, AR/VR, cloud computing and design technologies through collaborations with companies including NVIDIA, Cisco, ABB, Amazon Web Services and Apple. Addressing the gathering, Singh described the initiative as “futuristic” and stressed the importance of collaboration between government and the private sector in driving India’s growth.
Parul University president Dr. Devanshu Patel said the centre aims to create a future-ready ecosystem combining innovation, ethics and industry-oriented learning.
NSDC vice president Nitin Kapoor said the Centre for Future Skills model is now active across 11 institutions and has trained over 50,000 candidates nationwide. The university said Lakshya 2047 will focus on practical learning, innovation and global skill development to prepare students for emerging technologies and future industries.
