Dimapur: Under the banner “Fulfill Your Ministry,” the Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) conducted its Pastors’ Refreshers Course from July 6 to 9 at Kuda Village Baptist Church.
The three-day programme was generously sponsored by the host church and aimed at nurturing pastors with biblical teaching, leadership guidance and spiritual renewal.
Renowned speakers including Shurhovilie Savino, Dr. Rokoneituo Nakhro, Rev. Miazielie Sakhrie, Dr. Vitsolie Vupru and Rev. Kenilevi Khate imparted sessions on diverse themes such as: Expository preaching, leadership and preaching, pastoral care and counselling, sermon preparation, integrity of a leader, church and mission, calling and commitment, Christian living, Christian giving, The Holy Spirit and personal soul winning.
Speakers emphasized that pastors are entrusted by God to act as spiritual shepherds—feeding, leading and protecting their congregations.
They highlighted the importance of preaching sound doctrine, equipping believers for ministry and exercising spiritual oversight with humility and servant-hearted leadership.
Morning devotions were led by Shurhovilie Savino and Khrieketounuo Yhoshu, who encouraged pastors and church leaders to embody humility and selflessness, serving as willing shepherds rather than authoritarian figures.
They reminded participants that faithful stewardship leads to receiving the “glorious crown” from Jesus Christ.
Liangmai Baptist Association Pastor Union president Kaininglung expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Kuda Village Baptist Church pastor and deacon board for hosting the event.
He acknowledged their role in nurturing pastors of Liangmai churches under LBA by “feeding them spiritual food to lead their people as good stewards.”
