
State BJP president and minister Temjen Imna Along, deputy chief minister and BLP leader, Y. Patton and others have expressed pain over the demise of Samuel Sumi, BJP spokesperson and former PRO to state BJP president in Dimapur on Wednesday evening.
Along: Imna Along expressed sadness to learn about the demise of Samuel Sumi.
He said that Samuel, a refined and knowledgeable gentleman, joined his team in June 2019 as PRO.
A person with vast political acumen and experience gained over the years, Along said he gave his best to uphold him and the team to the best of his ability.
In recognition of his dedication and hard work rendered towards the party, Along said Samuel was elevated as the state BJP spokesperson in 2020, and was also assigned with additional charge for Mon district.
He sincerely executed and attended to his assigned duties till the time he breathed his last. “His passing is not only a personal loss to me but to the entire BJP family,” Along said.
Along and the rank and file of BJP Nagaland conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Patton: BLP leader and deputy chief minister Y. Patton expressed pain over the demise of Samuel Sumi. Patton said that late Sumi was a strong pillar in the party set up and was a good and gentle human being.
“His selfless contributions to the party will always be remembered,” Patton said and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the state BJP legislators, and prayed that God comfort them during the hour of grief.
BJP Wokha: Wokha district BJP unit said it was deeply pained to learn about the sudden demise of Samuel Sumi.
Wokha unit media secretary M James Tungoe press note described late Samuel as a teacher, friend, a guide and a person of high intellectual power, whose life was an asset to the society as well as to the party.
In his demise, the unit said that they have lost a wise and seasoned leader, a noble soul and a great human being, who lived an exemplary and worthy life.
