Deputy chief minister Y Patton , who is also in-charge of Home and Roads & Bridges, inspected the ongoing Dimapur road improvement work from PWD junction to Unity College on Saturday.
After taking stock of the ongoing works, being undertaken under the “Improvement of Dimapur city roads”, Patton asked the concerned contractor not to compromise on the workmanship. He has also reminded the contractor that even after the completion of work, the contractor will be responsible to maintain the road for a period of three-years.
He also appealed to the contractor to adhere to the terms and conditions of the road improvement project.
Patton was accompanied by the Dimapur Police Commissioner, Limasunep Jamir, Deputy Commissioner, Kevekha Kevin Zehol and PWD (R&B) Executive Engineer, Er. Talitemsu Jamir, a press note by DCMO media cell stated.
