Patton lauds seizure of gold and drugs

State deputy chief minister, Y. Patton has lauded Nagaland police, narcotics cell, manning the interstate narcotics checkpoint at Khuzama gate involved in the biggest seizure of smuggled gold bars in the state, amounting to Rs. 22 crore in international market on October 4.

While stating that it was a proud moment for Nagaland police, Patton said that the state police had shown an exemplary action which should be emulated by other personnel, especially those assigned in check gates.  Patton expressed happiness to learn that of late, the police department had shown efficiency and courage in fighting crimes especially cybercrimes and other criminal activities.

The deputy chief minister congratulated the narcotics cell of Nagaland police at Khuzama checkgate for their honesty and integrity, personnel under CP Dimapur, the highway patrol along NH 29 and all policemen and women working tirelessly in the service of the state and the nation.

He assured that those performing their assigned duties diligently would be rewarded and acknowledged.
