Patton launches new Tata Sierra in Dimapur

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton on Wednesday launched the new Tata Sierra SUV at NILI Motors, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur, and called for greater participation of the private sector in creating employment opportunities in the state.
Speaking at the launch programme as chief guest, Patton acknowledged the proprietor of NILI Motors for his vision, commitment and hard work in building and sustaining the business. He said establishing and maintaining a successful enterprise requires patience and confidence, and such initiatives help strengthen the state’s economy while inspiring other entrepreneurs.
He said that behind every successful enterprise is a dedicated team working to serve customers and maintain standards. Patton noted that government jobs are limited and cannot accommodate all youths, and stressed the need to expand opportunities in the private sector to provide meaningful employment.
He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio the state government has been working to improve infrastructure and connectivity to facilitate ease of doing business while also providing skill development programmes to help youths enter the private sector, where entrepreneurship is respected.
Urging cooperation, Patton called on the public to support local businesses and encourage young people to acquire skills and pursue entrepreneurial ventures. He expressed hope that the initiative would be successful and contribute to economic growth while generating employment opportunities for the people.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors has reintroduced the iconic Sierra SUV in a redesigned and technologically advanced form, offering a blend of modern features and classic styling. The new Sierra is priced between Rs. 11.49 lakh and Rs. 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant.
The SUV is available in seven variants, Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+ and is offered in six colour options: Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, Coorg Clouds, Munnar Mist, Mintal Grey and Pristine White.
The vehicle comes with petrol and diesel engine options producing up to 160 PS of power and includes advanced features such as a triple-screen infotainment system, augmented-reality head-up display and Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, connected-car technology, premium audio system, six airbags and a 360-degree camera system.
With a wheelbase of 2730 mm and boot space of up to 1,257 litres with rear seats folded, the new Sierra is designed to offer comfort and practicality along with modern technology.
The redesigned Sierra marks Tata Motors’ attempt to revive one of its most iconic models for the modern SUV market.
Earlier, the programme was hosted by Atokali Chophy, with an invocation delivered by Youth Pastor of Thahekhu Village Baptist Church, Joseph Jeriel, customer advisor NILI motors Vinoka Chishi welcomed the gatherings while Sales Coach of NILI Motors, Moasunep Imsong, highlighted the features and details of the vehicle.
