Police Baptist Church (PBC) 10th NAP (IR) Bn Zhadima observed Uniform Sunday at its battalion church at Zhadima on August 27, with IGP (Armed Bn) L. Bendang Lemtur as the speaker of the Sunday devotional service.
A press note by PBC Zhadima pastor Toshi stated that all the rank and files attended the service wearing their prescribed uniforms and carrying their own Bibles. During the sermon L. Bendang Lemtur urged upon the officers and men not be law breakers but be worthy law enforcers.
He further challenged them to ensure that citizens who happen to notice or meet a policeman in uniform should feel safe and secure. Sharing from the book of Ephesians 6:11-17, he urged the personnel to put on their uniform in the light of the armour of God so that evils, temptations and inimical forces could be overcome.
He further said in order to become responsible men in uniform one should wear the belt of truth and breastplate of righteousness as told in the bible. Special songs were presented by the officers, NGOs, BDE and ADM Companies.
