Volunteers Fill potholes along entire stretch of Longleng town
Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) organised a community service day on January 21 in Longleng town in response to the Nagaland Baptist Council Church’s (NBCC’s) call to render voluntary service to the communities all over Nagaland.
A press from PBCA executive secretary, Longleng, N. Tialemba Phom stated that PBCA initiated a mass voluntary service in Longleng town, where 11 government schools and district hospital surroundings were cleaned and fencings constructed by citizens in their localities.
The staff of PBCA and Longleng Town Baptist Church undertook the task of repairing the roads by filling potholes along the entire stretch of Longleng town.
The community service day, the release said, is an example of the Church in social action and transformation, where it is essential for people to listen to the voice of the Church. It added that dishonouring the Church’s voice was dishonouring the voice of God.
PBCA also urged all heads of departments, both government and NGOs to be stationed at the headquarters and render their services to the community with dedication.
PBCA further appreciated all the ward presidents and citizens who sincerely participated in the community service day.
