Special prayer day was organised by Poumai Baptist Church Kohima (PBCK) to acknowledge the services and contributions of the pastor and his family members, with church deacon S. L. You as the speaker on Sunday at PBCK premises.
Shangne in his speech said that the God’s servants ought to be respected with revered as they were anointed by God. Based from the Bible of 1 Timo. 5:17, he said spiritual leaders were to be honoured and respected. He reminded the members that spiritual leaders have unseen weapons which God bestow upon them. He also shared the responsibilities of church members towards pastor based on the word of God.
The programme was led by Kh. Sosii deacon, invocation prayer said by Th. Moses, special prayer session for the pastor and his family was led by D.M. Moses deacon, offertory prayer by H. Veikho and benediction prayer proposed by associate pastor Sone Shangne. The pastor and his family members were honoured and acknowledged with gifts and greetings.
It may be mentioned that all the Poumai Baptist churches under Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) numbering around 80 churches observe pastor’s day every year on first Sunday of November as a special day for the pastors.
