The Pongren Baptist Lithro (PBL) has observed its 50th years of Christianity from February 13 -15 on the theme “Christ is the cornerstone.”
Rev. C Lima, Executive Secretary Yangli; Rev. T Tsangkhuchu, Secretary USBLA Sub-Centre Kiphire; Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienou, Pastor Union Baptist Church, Kohima, were the speakers of the jubilee celebration.
Jubilee choir from Hurong Baptist Lithro and Praise & Worship Team from Union Baptist Church, Kohima, enthralled the congregation with their soulful and mesmerizing notes. Altogether 354 delegates from USBLA churches attended the three day long programme.
Various dignitaries who attended the programme are Chumremo Odyue, DC Kiphire; S Tianiu, ADC Pungro; James Khulu, EAC Longmatra; K Langshen, BDO Longmatra; SJ Levi Keor, Vice Principal Zisaji Presidency College; and Z Tsangkhuchu, CDPO Kiphire. All former pastors of Pongren Baptist Lithro also attended the programme.
Pongren village Azarü Mülong, Kiphire town, performed the opening and closing function followed by fireworks.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the golden jubilee planning has thanked various churches, individuals, well-wishers and in- laws for extending assistance through cash and kind towards the successful celebration of jubilee.
