PC holds talk on ‘Empowerment through Knowledge’

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Pranab College (PC), Dimapur, organized motivational talk on “Empowerment through Knowledge: Leadership and Indigenous Wisdom”.

A press release by PC informed that Chancellor, Nagaland University, Dr. Samudragupta Kashyap, delivered a talk on the topic, “Everyone can become a leader”.

Drawing inspiration from Dr. Tali Ao, the first global leader from Nagaland from Independent India in football, and Bhupen Hazarika, from Assam, he highlighted their vision and resilience, and emphasized that true leaders go the extra mile for betterment of society and master the art of silent communication as a tool for reflection and strategy.

The second speaker Soumen Chakraborty spoke on the topic “Indigenous knowledge and its application”, where he highlighted Northeast India’s rich cultural heritage, folk traditions, and geographical uniqueness. Despite its abundance of natural resources, Chakraborty maintained that the region’s hilly terrain presents challenges. He further emphasized how local communities have developed traditional technologies that, when integrated with modern scientific knowledge, can become a valuable national asset.
