PCC commemorates birth anniv of Subhas Chandra Bose

Public College of Commerce (PCC) commemorated 127th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, one of the greatest revolutionary leaders of Indian Freedom movement, on January 25, in collaboration with All India Democratic Students Organization (AIDSO).


A press release by PCC informed that resource person, Hemanta Pegu, one of the secretariat members of All India Committee of AIDSO, in his speech mentioned several notable events of Netaji’s life and his significant role in formation of Indian National Army (INA) and the battles and operations involving INA during World War II fought in the South-East Asian theatre. He also highlighted on the role played by freedom loving people of North-East to support INA, led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.


He urged the youths to come forward to accomplish the incomplete task dreamt by Netaji to build a great nation and that would be the best way to pay tribute to the great leader. The seminar was chaired by HoD, Economics, PCC, Dr. Pradip Chakraborty, inaugural address delivered by Vice Principal, PCC, Dulal Majumder, and vote of thanks by, Asst Professor, PCC, Kitokali G Zhimomi.
