PDCCI warns telecom provider over persistent network issues

DIMAPUR

Phek District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PDCCI) has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the deteriorating telecom services in Phek Town and surrounding areas, citing serious disruptions affecting daily life and business operations.
In a press release, PDCCI stated that despite repeated appeals, there has been no visible improvement in network quality since July 2025.
The association highlighted persistent issues such as frequent call drops, unstable internet connectivity, and overall poor service delivery, which continue to hamper students, entrepreneurs, and the general public who rely heavily on digital access.
PDCCI cautioned that unless the telecom service provider resolves the issue by September 7, the association would be compelled to initiate its own course of action. It further reminded that a prior complaint had already been published in a local daily in August, yet no corrective measures have been taken.
“If the situation continues, the Telecom office will be locked down until further notice,” the release warned, underscoring the gravity of the matter.
The association urged concerned authorities to intervene and ensure reliable network services are restored at the earliest, emphasizing the need for accountability and prompt resolution.
